Be patient and remain at a safe distance back from snow plows when winter maintenance crews are trying to clear roadways.

West Parry Sound O-P-P have that warning for drivers after a transport tried to pass one of these vehicles, clipped its wing and sent the plow into the ditch.

It happened Tuesday night, northbound on Highway 400, near Parry Sound.

A 56-year-old truck driver from Bruce Mine is charged with improperly changing lanes.

Police say the blowing snow around plows causes reduced visibility and line of sight and trying to get passed them while they’re clearing snow is dangerous.
