There were two rumblings under foot last night in Greater Sudbury, about twelve minutes apart.

All local mining companies were contacted to determine if the seismic activity came from their operations.

It did not.

Earthquakes Canada says both events were earthquakes…the first one was felt at 5:37pm, Sunday night and the other at 5:49pm.

Both measured 3.2 Magnitude.

The epicenter was 30-kilometre southeast of Sudbury, around Estaire….but residents in all parts of the city felt the shaking.
