Sudbury got a little bigger as the second refugee family arrived late afternoon yesterday.

The family Alzahran family is sponsored by Capreol -Valley Refugee Sponsorship who will help the new members of the community settled in Capreol.

They spent the last three years in Lebanon and before that one of the worst areas in Syria, the father, through a tranlator says he wanted to move to Canada so his five boys and two daughters can attend university in the country.

He says the flight to Canada was the greatest moment of his life.

He also says there were cheers in the airport in Beirut, Lebanon when they found out they would be coming to Canada

The family is the second to arrive in Sudbury, the Qarquoz  family landed on New Years Eve, two more families are expected by the end of March.
