You would have thought the warm weather over the weekend was record-breaking, since the temperature climbed well above seasonal for this time of year.

But according to data from Environment Canada, Sudbury did not break any records.

Both December 5th and 6th warm-temperature records are from 2001…at 12.1 degrees and 12.7 degrees Celsius respectively.

The temperature warmed to 8.3 on Saturday and 7.3 Sunday.

Normal daytime highs for this time of year should be around Minus 4.
