Members of the Sudbury Chamber of Commerce got first hand insight into the future of Sudbury’s economy today, during Outlook 2016.

The Chamber welcomed Pierre Cleroux, VP of Research and Chief Economist for Business Development Bank of Canada as a guest speaker.

Cleroux says the future of Sudbury is looking bright because the city’s economy isn’t as dependent on how the mines are doing as it once was.

President and CEO of Sudbury Chamber, Debbi Nicholson says the Chambers outlook is on par with Cleroux’s.

Cleroux expects the prices of commodities like Nickel to increase in both 2016 and 2017.

Cleroux also talked about growth in Ontario businesses due to high volumes of exports to the United States.
