The City of Greater Sudbury has proclaimed tomorrow -December 1st as 1day4UnitedWay.

The unique one-day fundraiser comes from the United Way of Sudbury and Nipissing Districts and coincides with Giving Tuesday….a global movement to promote giving and volunteering.

Executive Director Michael Cullen says it’s a way to show that collectively donors throughout the community can make a difference.

President of DiBrina Group, Mike DeBrina, says they’ll match dollar for dollar any donations made throughout the community tomorrow for the local United Way.

There is a special website: 1day4UnitedWay.ca for any donations made tomorrow.

Cullen says whatever is raised tomorrow will go towards the 2015 United Way Campaign goal.

The United Way helps fund 30 agencies and over 50 programs in Sudbury and Nipissing Districts.
