Vital Signs

Greater Sudbury’s Vital Signs Report for 2015 has been released.

This is the 8th year the Sudbury Community Foundation has put out the report which is considered a check-up of all aspects of the city.

This year the focus was “Community Energy” and Mark Signoretti, Ward 1 City Councillor, Vital Signs Honorary Chair and Greater Sudbury Utilities Board Chair says electricity is crucial to the way we live, work and play.

He says it’s an issue that touches all our lives every day with the production and consumption of energy to undergo enormous change in the near future.

The Vital Signs Report shows local unemployment is down, tourism is increasing and the crime rate continues to drop, while there are concerns with the decreasing number of people who are donating to charities and an increase in poverty, smoking and obesity rates.
