Liberals

The federal Liberals are promising to spend $3-billion over four years to modernize Canada’s health care system.

Former Liberal leader Stephane Dion was in Sudbury today to unveil the plan that also includes investments in home care.

Dion says unlike the other parties, the Liberals will work with the provinces.

He says the Liberals will include benchmarks to help meet wait time targets…something the current government isn’t doing.

The Liberal plan also includes improving access and reducing the cost of prescription medications and increasing the availability of high quality mental health services.
