The city recognized nine young entrepreneurs who found success this summer at running their own business.

Students in high school or post secondary school were asked to submit a business plan, and the winning plans received 3 thousand dollars from the province for start-up fees.

Some will continue to use their business and skills they learned in the future, but for Cassie Wilson and her business Cassie’s Southern Kitchen, this was a chance to do something she loves.

Students chose a variety of different business plans from farming to window cleaning, to lawn care, to cajun cuisine.

Wilson and the eight other students in the 2015 Summer Company program all came away with a profit.
