An Emergency Area Order remains in place as fire rangers continue to battle a forest fire northeast of Halfway Lake.

Than allows the Ministry of Natural Resources to close roads and restrict travel when needed to allow fire crews to move freely.

M-N-R information officer Shane McCool says currently 40 Fire Rangers are battling the fire with water bombers providing support when requested.

Sudbury 38 is currently more than 430 hectares in size and is not yet under control.

The investigation continues, but it’s believed human cause started the fire.
