Two local groups believe technology is the best way to help youth deal with mental health and addiction.

Sudbury and Manitoulin Service Collaborative and the Centre for Mental Health and Addiction have introduced the “Be Safe” app for parts of Sudbury, Manitoulin and Chapleau.

The app is connected with mental health and addiction services in the area and was designed to give youth and active voice in the development of mental health services for young people.

Youth Engagement Student, Jordan Barr says the app is easy to use and will point anyone who is struggling

The app can be downloaded at mindyourmind.ca/interactives/be-safe.
