Over 2,000 people made their way to our city’s first ever Graphic-Con last Saturday at Science North.

It was organized by the Greater Sudbury Public Library.

The event featured 30 vendors, who were extremely pleased with the large turnout, including Jim Scott, the owner of Popcorn Video in Hanmer.

He says he was so busy as a vendor that he didn’t get a chance to look around at the rest of the vendors.

Scott says the entire event was great for fans, the community and local businesses.

Many are hoping Graphic-Con will turn into a multi-day event in the future.

For now though, they’ll have to be content with confirmation: it will be back for 2016.

That news was posted to the Greater Sudbury Library Facebook page.
