The Greater Sudbury Police and local pharmacies saw a 50 percent increase in the return of unused, expired and unwanted medications, in the 2015 Prescription Drug Drop-Off Day.

On May 9th the annual campaign brought in around 75 pounds of prescription drugs.

The day is an effort to reduce drug misusage and abuse in the community.

All Independent Grocers, Shopper’s Drug Marts, Rexall’s and the Hanmer Pharmasave took part in the campaign.
