Calling it phase two…the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario has withdrawn more services.

Teachers are no longer attending Ministry of Education meetings, workshops and mandated meetings with principals..that’s after they stopped performing certain administrative duties last month.

Local President of the ETFO Barb Blasutti says this will only have “minimal impact on students.”

Blasutti says they’ve been without a collective agreements for nine months and the government has shown no signs of doing anything to help the situation.

The federation says the school boards have made demands that would allow for increases in class size, have teachers’ preparation time directed by others and compromise their ability to support student learning.
