A group of Cambrian College students will be wearing green ribbons at their convocation ceremonies this afternoon, in honour of KiSS 105.3 radio personality, Rich Griffin.

The 12- 15 students graduating from the Public Relations program will wear the ribbons which support of organ donation awareness.

Student Dillon Richard says they want to honour their Professor, Nancy Griffin, and pay tribute to the life-giving decision her husband Rich made.

Earlier this week, Nancy & the Griffin family donated many of Rich’s organs after he suffered a fatal brain aneurysm.

Rich’s decision to be an organ donor saved multiple lives and gave more than eight people a new lease on life.

Dillon had high praise for his teacher and her family, saying both Nancy and Rich came to public relations events the students planned in the past, so they wanted to give back.

The students encourage everyone else to become an organ donor by registering online at beadonor.ca
