Greater Sudbury Police have closed the case of the Azilda bank robbery by arresting and charging a 44-year old Sudbury man.

Police searched a residence early this morning and found evidence of the robbery and the sawed off shotgun used.

They also found the vehicle used to escape the Caisse Populaire branch.

The suspect was arrested at 8 am this morning.

He now faces a robbery with violence charge and two other charges.

Police are thanking the public for their help in the investigation.
