It’s coming up on the 6th anniversary of that tragic night in Hanmer when three local teens were run down by a drunk driver.

It was Father’s Day in June 2009 when the kids were walking along the side of the road, when Nicolas Piovesan, impaired behind the wheel, killed the teens.

He was found guilty of three counts of criminal negligence causing death and was sentenced to seven years.

Now comes word that Piovesan has been released from jail.

Piovesan  is reportedly living in Sturgeon Falls and has to abide by a strict list of conditions including staying away from alcohol and a 10- year driving ban.
