Sudbury Man Found Safe After Weekend Quake In Nepal

A Sudbury man -who had been missing in Nepal after the devastating earthquake- has been found safe.

Twenty-eight year old Cody Walter only recently was able to make contact with his family after he and a friend were hiking in the mountains of the small Asian country.

It was through social media posts that friends and family were able to confirm he was safe after the tragedy hit Saturday.

Communication was spotty and it was difficult for phone calls to get through, which is likely why it took so long for Walter to contact his family.

A reported 4350 people died and another 8000 were injured.
