***New Music and another magazine cover***
Rihanna is on the cover of the latest issue of V Magazine in a blonde wig and neon makeup. Rihanna also shared a snippet from a new track called “James Joint” on her website, which will be featured on her upcoming 8th studio album. Entertainment Weekly reports that the track is a sparse, soul song that puts RiRi’s vocals–as well as a blatantly pro-marijuana viewpoint–front and center.

***Kylie Jenner says “be yourself”!***
Kylie Jenner took to Twitter on Tuesday to tell fans to stop participating in the #KylieJennerChallenge, a viral challenge that encourages individuals to emulate the 17-year-old reality star’s plump pout by sucking air through a cup or shot glass until the air vacuum causes their lips to swell. “I’m not here to try & encourage people/young girls to look like me or to think this is the way they should look,” she wrote. “I want to encourage people/young girls like me to be YOURSELF & not be afraid to experiment w your look.” Meanwhile, medical professionals have warned that the challenge can lead to severe bruising and even infection of the lips.

***The Left Shark is not a trademark***
Katy Perry’s attempt to trademark the now-infamous “Left Shark” from her Super Bowl halftime show has been rejected. Billboard reports that Trademark Examiner David Collier deemed that the drawing identified “only a particular character,” and that there was not enough evidence that customers looking at “Left Shark” would think of Perry’s performance. The pop star initially submitted a trademark application after she discovered that a designer named Fernando Sosa was selling “Left Shark” figurines on Etsy. If you need a Left Shark, Fernando is still selling them.
