It’s hoped that measures to make mining safer in Ontario will finally be announced.

Labour Minister Kevin Flynn will be in Sudbury tomorrow to present the results of the Mining Health, Safety and Prevention Review.

A drive was started for a full mining inquiry after the deaths of Jordan Fram and Jason Chenier at the Stobie Mine in June 2011, but the province instead decided to go with a review.

It began in December 2013 and included several sessions over the past few months in Sudbury and across the province to gather input from the the public.
